If I am a current swimmer, will I automatically be accepted for the next season?

Our current team swimmers are granted priority enrollment if they meet the coaching staff’s expectations for their enrolled program. However, if they fall short, they will be advised that our team participation may not align with their continued goals. At the close of the season, we assess each swimmer based on several factors, including attendance, performance, attitude, parent involvement, and behavioral issues. Our evaluation aims to determine their suitability for each Tier. Regrettably, there are instances where swimmers may not be the ideal match for our team or our sport in the following seasons.

Is being on the Team an annual commitment?

Yes. We require an annual nonrefundable Federation registration & team fee that varies by program tier. The monthly team payment is a nonrefundable flat rate. Should a swimmer decide to leave the team before the season ends, no refunds will be issued for the annual registration. As the monthly payment is a flat rate, we require a 30-day notice for leaving the team. We do not offer prorated refunds if a swimmer departs mid-month. While we recognize hardships and unforeseen events such as injuries, hospitalizations, or family emergencies, our policy is firm but flexible under certain circumstances. Upon enrollment, you acknowledge our expectation of full participation. Should you be unable to fulfill these expectations, priority will be given to swimmers who are able to commit.

Can swimmers take vacation breaks from team training during the year?

Our swim team operates seasonally and is separate from school-affiliated swim teams. We are aware of the numerous school holidays and breaks. While family time is important, we encourage consistent training during these periods. We discourage taking family vacations during school breaks, except for the traditional summer break. We do offer an optional summer camp for current swimmers focused on competing in summer events that involve travel. Families often schedule their vacations to coincide with these competition venues during the summer. We also respect all U.S. and cultural holidays, in addition to providing training exemptions for swimmers observing specific cultural and religious holidays. Swimmers whose family schedules vacation during most school breaks may find our team's commitment requirements challenging. In such cases, we suggest exploring recreational team programs offered by other organizations.

Do I automatically advance to other Tier levels?

Typically, swimmers dedicate over two years at each Tier level to hone their skills and achieve proficiency. Coaches assess each swimmer's capabilities to determine their readiness to advance to the next level or to remain in their current level. Key factors in this evaluation include enhanced performance scores over the season, along with attitude, conduct, and the ability to collaborate with coaches and team members.
