AWD Int'l Coach
Coach Yuliya is our Int'l level AWD Coach who travels with our team to International Competitions for our advanced swimmers Tiers 4 through 6. Coach Yuliya has been a part of our team for the past 11yrs and has coached AWD swimmers for 16yrs. She is currently a high performance coach for the Santa Clara Artistic Swim Club in Northern California as well as a Gold Medalist swimmer for years with the Santa Clara Artistic Swim Club. Coach Yuliya is a graduate of San Jose State University with a B.A degree in Sports Psychology. She is also a representative on the Artistic Swim AWD-USA coaches board, and uses her voice to advocate for AWD across the Nation and abroad.
Tier1/Figures Judge
Coach Takako brings many years of experience with athlete safety for our team and is one of ourTier1 coaches and assists with long term athlete development. She is also one of our local competition figures Judge and brings great perspective and experience when rating our athletes with disabilities. Coach Takako is also a representative on the Artistic Swim AWD-USA coaches board and uses her voice as an advocate for AWDs Nationally and abroad.
Pre-Comp/Tiers 1-3 Coach
Coach Sarah is our Team Representative who works alongside of our Head Coach and Staff to ensure consistent and smooth team operations with coaches/swimmers/parents. She is also our Pre-comp/Tiers 1-3 program lead coach. She is an Occupational Therapist with many years of experience in the field. Coach Sarah brings great leadership skills for our swimmers in and out of the pool and for our staff. She represents the Team at competitions, events and public appearances. Coach Sarah is also a representative on the Artistic Swim AWD-USA Coaches Board and uses her voice for advocacy for AWD across the Nation and abroad.
T6 High Performance
As our high-performance coach, Coach Irma supports Junior athletes in T6 with focused, goal-oriented coaching. Her training style balances strong fundamentals with advanced performance expectations, guiding T6 swimmers through progressive skill development and high performance competitive readiness. Coach Irma is dedicated to fostering discipline, resilience, and a high standard of excellence in every practice for each swimmer at this level. Coach Irma is also the Head Coach for the Tibidabo Artistic Swim Club in Palo Alto and generously shares her time to dedicate her expertise for Bay Area Artistic Swimming's T6 athletes with disabilities.
